Jones-Liebenhaut!!

What can be said about the Jones-Liebenhaut wedding? A lot. :)

Cindel and Matt were married in the Orlando Temple on May 31st, 2008. Matt's whole family came in from areas all over the South to meet the Jones's and to take part in the celebration of the new couple. The Jones's flew in from areas as far as Utah and New Mexico. Some even came all the way from California to join in the fun (They were, quite obviously, the most dedicated of the Jones family). The weekend in Orlando can only be described as one of fun, family, and lack of sleep.

Cindel and Matt arrived in Orlando on a sultry Thursday afternoon. Their trip was a bit uncomfortable as the car was packed full of wedding goodies, decorations, luggage, and Cindel's dress. But nothing would wipe the smile off of Cindel or Matt's face all weekend long. There was no person they couldn't endure, no setback they couldn't fix, and no cramped ride they couldn't enjoy.

Friday was filled with family and friends coming into town. The two family heads met that night: Mr. Jones and Mr. Liebenhaut. And.....it turned out just fine :). The Liebenhauts are a most gracious and affectionate bunch. Mom and Dad Liebenhaut were great to visit with and Natalie was just as sweet as she could be. The food was great and the company was greater!

But enough with the formalities...let's get to the good stuff!

Saturday morning came quickly. It was a beautiful, sunny day in Orlando. Everyone arrived on time, and the bride and groom were cool and calm. The sealing was beautiful. Matt and Cindel looked with confidence and love into each other's eyes the entire time. And then it was done. Cindel was now officially a Liebenhaut! Mr. and Mrs. Liebenhaut. Matt and Cindel Liebenhaut. As they exited the temple they were surrounded by congratulations and flashes from the cameras. The celebration began.

The reception started at 5:00 pm and was set to last until 10:00 pm that night. The decorations were simple and elegant. The cake was absolutely beautiful! (thanks to her beautiful sister Lindsay and brilliant brother Chase). The wedding party was introduced and then the Liebenhauts were introduced for the first time! There were a variety of activities and traditions that took place: the exchanging of rings, the Jewish tradition of the breaking of the glass (it represents that the marriage will last as long as the glass is broken, which is forever), the first dance (it was choreographed beautifully to Michael Buble's "Everything"), speeches from the Maid of Honor and the Best Man, cutting of the cake, and, my personal favorite, the Hora dance. It was this dance that got the party rocking. The dancing didn't stop for anything afterwards! Young and old, male and female, all walks of life were found on the dance floor. The celebration of Matt and Cindel lasted until after 10 when the couple left in a flurry of bubbles (literally). Shouts could be heard all throughout Orlando, "Jones-Liebenahaut! Jones-Liebenhaut!!" It was a night of fun, new friends, the joining of two families, and celebrating a new life together.
